With great pleasure we would like to announce that the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research has decided to confer the Order “Academic Palms” to prof. Sava Grozdev, VUZF University Vice-Rector of Research and career development, for his activities oriented to Francophonie and the French language, particularly with respect to his participation in the organization of the “Math kangaroo”, for whose success his contribution is indisputable.
The Order of Academic Palms is a state award of France, established in 1955. It has its origins form a badge of honor, established by decree of Napoleon in 1808. Initially it was awarded only to university faculty and staff. Later the Order is awarded to people with non-teaching professions who have contributions to education, culture and the French language. Order “Academic Palms” is the third in rank after the Order of the Legion of Honour and the National Order of Merit.
We are congratulating professor. Grozdev for the rendition of this honor and we are proud of him!
